The AllTest Vitamin D Rapid Test Cassette is available in both home self-testing (REF: OVD-402H) and professional (REF: OVD-402) versions, providing a rapid method for the semi-quantitative detection of 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25-OH Vitamin D) in human fingerstick whole blood. Both versions use a lateral flow immunoassay and a colour card to estimate Vitamin D levels from the intensity of the test line. The tests provide results in approximately 10 minutes and are designed to screen for Vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency. The home version is intended for self-testing, while the professional version is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use.

Vitamin D status is assessed by measuring 25-hydroxyvitamin D, the main circulating form used to assess the body's Vitamin D stores. Low Vitamin D levels can be associated with inadequate dietary intake, limited sunlight exposure and other factors, and Vitamin D testing may be used to support the assessment of deficiency or insufficiency. The AllTest Vitamin D Rapid Test Cassette (Fingerstick Whole Blood) (REF: OVD-402H) is designed for self-testing. The kit contains the test cassette, buffer, lancet, alcohol pad, capillary dropper, package insert and Vitamin D colour card, allowing the complete test to be performed at home.

Professional Vitamin D Test — REF: OVD-402

The AllTest Vitamin D Rapid Test Cassette (Whole Blood) (REF: OVD-402) is intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use. It uses fingerstick whole blood and requires approximately 20 µL of specimen, followed by two drops of buffer. Lancets and a timer are not supplied with the professional kit.
